Klaus Allan Harnvig Krane

Klaus is a senior Ice Advisor and Operational Manager with a large project portfolio. In the Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI he has succeeded in business and project development within Ice and Met.Ocean Services for arctic offshore operations (oil, gas and mining). He is a skilled consultant and a valuable resource for arctic projects about iceberg monitoring, offshore ice advisory, support to seismic operations etc. in medium size international projects. Moreover, Klaus has international marketing and networking skills. As Head of the DMI Ice Service Projects in Kazakhstan, Klaus was taking care of remote sensing sea ice products and providing satellite imagery together with related products to the offshore installations, the icebreakers and the Ice Advisory Office in Bautino. Klaus has accumulated practical experience as First Mate and Chief Mate sailing in Greenland plus the Caribbean and Pacific Waters. Moreover, Klaus has experiences from a project with Viking Supply Ships in the Kara Sea drilling project's Ice Defence System for ExxonMobil. His key competences are ice advisory, remote sensing and running the operational office.
