Ulrik Ankjær Borch

Ice Management

Ulrik is an experienced meteorologist, product developer and project manager. He has a broad project portfolio with implementation and management of weather and ocean route planning and rig operations worldwide. At the Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI, Ulrik has been a valuable in-house resource in the Center for Oceanography and Ice. He is motivated by developing organizational structures to improve effectivity and corporation. Ulrik has field work experience in MetOcean operations in Greenland as an operative aviation meteorologist. Ulrik is an experienced product developer both on ad hoc basis and in structured environments. Moreover, Ulrik has strong competences in sales and marketing.

Ulrik specialises in identification and atonement of expectations for customer needs, in terms of today's state of the art computer models. He participates in the development of IT systems for supporting operations – discovering needs and specifying functionality. Ulrik has many years of educational experience as he teaches cadets in meteorology at the Danish Naval Academy.
